History: When I was a teen building myself an ugly personal site, I figured out how to make backgrounds that tiled seamlessly. That spawned a site, called The Background Island, where I used a horrid frame system to give away tons of seamless tiles. Eventually, I figured out how to add Christian symbols to them. Thus ChristGraphics.com was born. Today it provides many seamless tiles for whatever backgrounds you might need them for, as well as many desktop wallpapers. Some people have used them for Powerpoint backgrounds as well. All given away for free.

Design: ChristGraphics.com's current design is pretty simple, it is supposed to keep every pages focus on the various graphics. So I chose to use black and white as the main colors, and keep graphics to a minimum. Pretty much the only graphics are the logo and the ones I'm giving away.

Programming: Everything is PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and MySQL. I have functions that act as templates for the look, since there is no need for anything complicated. Javascript helps page through the images when viewing the wallpaper and tiles pages. MySQL and PHP are used for the tag cloud.

Future Plans: I haven't had time to create new graphics for a few years now, I'd like to start making them again, but time may not allow that. This is another site I am considering moving into Drupal. If I did that, I might be able to create a community based on sharing Christian graphics. Other Comments: This is the first site I have used Google AdWords and Adsense on. They both work pretty well. AdSense brings in a few cents once in a while. And when I ran a short campaign on AdWords, my traffic skyrocketed. Now, if only I was selling something...
